Elemental Analysis
Elemental analysis using EDS provides qualitative and semi-quantitative information about the chemical composition of the sample. By detecting the X-rays emitted by atoms when they are excited by the electron beam, this method can identify which elements are present and in what proportions. It is particularly useful for identifying contaminants, verifying material composition, and supporting material certification and research.
