Applications of the technologies underlying the lab services provided by ISOCORE span over a very wide range of industrial production and control processes. A short guideline is given below:
• Determination of the biogenic-fossil fraction in samples of several different use, from plastic bags to tires, from biomasses to fuels (Bio-based).
• Detection of trace amounts (below ppm) of stable and radioactive elements in productions using special ultra-pure materials by X-Ray Fluorescence or Accelerator Mass Spectrometry, respectively
• Assessment of the absence of radioactive contaminations in materials belonging to installations using or producing radioactivity (Accelerator Mass Spectrometry, γ-ray spectroscopy, scintillation spectroscopy).
• Characterization of polymers, metals, ceramics, composites, and nanomaterials (Morphological Analysis).
• Sub-micrometric wearing speed measurements for precision mechanics in engine manufacturing, polymeric and medical materials by ⁷Be implantation (Ion implantation)
