Description
X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analysis at ISOCORE is used for the non-destructive characterization of materials in paintings, frescoes, and artifacts of historical and artistic interest. XRF enables the determination of the elemental composition of surfaces, providing essential information for understanding, conserving, and restoring cultural heritage.
In addition to XRF, spectral multi-imaging techniques (infrared, ultraviolet, raking light, false color) are employed to study execution techniques, detect overpainting or restorations, and reveal details invisible to the naked eye.
